Ingredients:
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp Sooji (Semolina)
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Oil (for smoothing the dough)
- 1/2 cup Water
- Oil (for brushing)
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine Whole Wheat Flour, Sooji (Semolina), Sugar, and Salt.
- Add 1 tsp of Oil to the dry mixture. This will help in smoothing the dough.
- Gradually add Water to the mixture and knead to form a soft and smooth dough. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes. This helps the gluten in the dough relax and makes it easier to roll.
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C for 5 Minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a ping pong ball.
- Roll each ball into a small circular shape using a rolling pin.
- Place the rolled Pooris in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't overlap and brush each Poori lightly with oil
- Air fry the Pooris at 200°C for about 5 minutes.
- The Pooris should puff up and turn golden brown in colour.
- Once cooked, remove the Pooris from the air fryer.
- Serve the hot and fluffy Air fried Pooris with your favourite side dish, whether it's curry, chutney, or a savoury accompaniment.
