Baby Corn Sticks

Experience the joy of savouring the satisfying crunch and gentle sweetness of Baby Corn Sticks.

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 tbsp Maida (All-Purpose Flour)
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Corn Flour
  • Salt: To taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Schezwan Chutney
  • Water: As needed (for batter consistency)
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Baby Corn
  • Oil: For brushing

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Maida, Corn Flour, salt, black pepper powder, and Schezwan chutney.
  2. Gradually add water and mix to form a smooth batter with a consistency that coats the back of a spoon. The batter should not be too thick or too thin.
  3. Coat baby corn with the batter. Make sure each baby corn is well coated.
  4. Roll the coated baby corn in bread crumbs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for a 10 minutes.
  6. Brush the air fryer basket with a thin layer of oil to prevent sticking.
  7. Place the coated baby corn sticks in the air fryer basket. Make sure to leave some space between them for even cooking.
  8. Air fry at 180°C for about 15 minutes, the baby corn sticks are golden brown and crispy, flip or shake the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  9. Once they are cooked to your desired level of crispiness, remove them from the air fryer.
  10. Serve the air fried baby corn sticks hot as a delicious and crispy snack or appetizer. You can also serve them with your favourite dipping sauce.
