Burnt Basque Cheese Cake

Burnt Basque Cheese Cake: A dessert journey that captivates the senses with its complexity and deliciousness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Cream Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup Condensed Milk
  • 1/3 cup Cream
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour (Maida)

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Mix until the sugar is well incorporated into the cream cheese.
  3. Add condensed milk and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour in the cream and mix well, add vanilla essence and mix again.
  5. Sprinkle corn starch and all-purpose flour (Maida) over the mixture.
  6. Mix until the starches are fully incorporated, and the batter becomes smooth.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C 10 Minutes.
  8. Grease a baking pan that fits into your air fryer basket.
  9. Pour the prepared batter into the greased baking pan, ensuring it's spread evenly.
  10. Place the baking pan in the preheated air fryer.
  11. Bake the cake at 200°C for approximately 40 minutes.
  12. After the baking time, check the cake's doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. It should come out with a few moist crumbs, as the cake is meant to have a creamy center.
  13. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a while before removing it.
  14. Once the cake has cooled, carefully remove it from the pan.
  15. The Burnt Basque Cheese Cake is ready to be served.
  16. The cake's outer layer will have a caramelized, burnt appearance, while the inside remains creamy and rich. Slice and serve this unique and delicious dessert.
