Cauliflower Wings

Indulge in the magic of tender cauliflower, bold sauces, and the ultimate snack-time satisfaction.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cauliflower, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (Maida)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1.5 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp oil (for greasing)
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour (Maida), salt, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, and enough water to make a thick batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  2. Dip each cauliflower piece into the batter, ensuring it's coated evenly.
  3. Roll the batter-coated cauliflower pieces in the crushed cornflakes until they are well coated. Press the cornflakes onto the cauliflower to ensure they stick.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C for 5 Minutes.
  5. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the coated cauliflower pieces in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  7. Air fry the cauliflower at 200°C for about 10 minutes. You can shake the basket or flip the cauliflower pieces halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should become golden brown and crispy.
  8. In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Schezwan sauce, vinegar, and honey. Mix until well blended.
  9. Once the cauliflower pieces are air-fried and crispy, transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  10. Pour the prepared sauce over the air-fried cauliflower and gently toss to coat them evenly with the sauce.
  11. Optionally, you can sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onion greens on top for added flavour and garnish.
  12. Serve and enjoy your homemade cauliflower wings hot as a delicious appetizer or snack.
