Chicken Barra

Experience the allure of Chicken Barra, where each bite is a harmonious blend of tenderness and spice.

Ingredients:

  • 400 g Chicken Thighs
  • 1/2 cup Fried Onions
  • 1/3 cup Garlic Cloves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 4 Green Chilies
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Chat Masala
  • Salt, to taste
  • 3 tbsp Thick Curd
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/3 cup Coriander Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Ghee, warm

Directions:

  1. In a blender, combine the fried onions, garlic cloves, ginger, green chillies, kashmiri red chilli powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, chat masala, Salt, thick curd, lemon juice, and coriander leaves.
  2. Blend everything into a smooth paste.
  3. In a bowl, place the Chicken Thighs.
  4. Pour the prepared Blended Masala Paste over the chicken, ensuring they are coated well.
  5. Add warm Ghee to the marinated chicken and mix to combine.
  6. Cover and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight for best flavour.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 10 Minutes.
  8. Place the marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
  9. Air fry the chicken at 180°C for about 18 minutes, flip or shake the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  10. Once the chicken is cooked to perfection, remove it from the air fryer.
  11. Serve the delicious Chicken Barra hot with your choice of side dishes and accompaniments.
