Chilli Cheese Samosa

Get ready for a taste sensation that combines the traditional samosa with a cheesy twist in our Chilli Cheese Samosa.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Maida (All Purpose Flour)
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Cheese
  • Green Chillies
  • Chilli Flakes
  • Oregano

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Maida (All Purpose Flour) and salt. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add water to the flour mixture and knead it into a smooth dough. The dough should be firm and pliable. Set it aside for about 15-20 minutes to rest.
  3. While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. Grate or finely chop the cheese and finely chop the green chilies.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the grated cheese, chopped green chilies, chili flakes, and oregano. Adjust the quantities according to your taste preferences.
  5. After the dough has rested, divide it into small portions and roll each portion into a thin, circular shape like a chapati or tortilla. Cut the rolled dough circle into two semi-circles.
  6. Take one semi-circle, wet the straight edge with water, and fold it into a cone shape, overlapping the wet edge over the dry edge. Press firmly to seal the cone
  7. Fill the cone-shaped dough with the cheese and chili mixture. Do not overstuff to prevent leakage during air frying.
  8. Wet the open edges of the cone with water and press firmly to seal and close the samosa.
  9. Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
  10. Preheat your air fryer at 180°C for 5 minutes. Then Lightly brush or spray the samosas with oil for a crispy texture. Place the samosas in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring they are evenly spaced and not overlapping.
  11. Air the samosas in the air fryer 200°C 10 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. You may need to flip them halfway through for even cooking.
  12. Once cooked, remove the air fried chili cheese samosas from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
  13. Serve the samosas hot as a snack or appetizer with chutney or ketchup.
