Crispy Korean Chicken Bao

Experience the perfect balance of sweet, savoury, and spicy with these Crispy Korean Chicken Baos, a culinary adventure that will leave you craving for more.
Ingredients:
- 6 steamed bao buns
- Air fried noodles
- 400g chicken thigh, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Korean red chilli paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Sesame seeds and spring onions for garnish
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine the chicken thigh pieces with salt, pepper powder, chopped ginger, and chopped garlic. Mix well.
- Add cornflour to the marinated chicken and coat the pieces evenly. Allow the chicken to marinate for 1 hour.
- Preheat your air fryer to 190°C for 5 Minutes.
- Place the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket and air fry at 200°C for 15 minutes until the chicken is crispy and cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, combine the chopped ginger, chopped garlic, honey, Korean red chilli paste, lemon juice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well to create the tossing sauce.
- Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a mixing bowl and add the tossing sauce. Toss the chicken in the sauce until well coated.
- Garnish the chicken with sesame seeds and spring onions.
- Place the steamed bao buns in the air fryer and air fry at 190°C for 7 minutes until they become crispy and golden.
- Prepare the fillings for the bao buns, such as sliced onions, red cabbage, Korean chicken, spring onion, and air-fried noodles.
- Open the steamed bao buns and fill them with the desired fillings. Serve the crispy Korean chicken bao buns immediately.
