Crispy Shrimp

Delight in the irresistible combination of tender shrimp and a satisfying crispy coating, making these bites a true culinary masterpiece.

Ingredients:

  • Shrimp, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • Cooking spray

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika powder. Mix well to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  2. Add the cleaned and deveined shrimp to the flour mixture and coat them well, making sure each shrimp is fully coated. Set aside for a few minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and water to create an egg wash.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the Panko breadcrumbs, pepper powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Take each shrimp and remove any excess flour by gently shaking or tapping it.
  6. Dip the flour-coated shrimp into the egg wash, ensuring it is fully coated, and then transfer it to the bowl of Panko breadcrumbs. Coat the shrimp entirely with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere them to the surface of the shrimp. Repeat this process for all the shrimp.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 3 minutes.
  8. Place the coated shrimp one by one in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them. Spray some cooking oil over the shrimp to promote browning and crispiness.
  9. Air fry the shrimp at 200°C for 6-7 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
  10. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly.
  11. Serve the crispy air-fried shrimp as a delicious appetizer or main dish. Enjoy!
