Egg Puffs

Let the aroma of freshly baked Egg Puffs transport you to a world of savoury pleasure.

Ingredients:

  • Oil
  • 2 Large Onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Pepper, to taste (adjust according to preference)
  • Pinch of Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • Curry Leaves
  • Ready-made Puff Pastry Sheets (cut smaller relative to egg size)
  • Boiled Eggs (cut into halves)
  • Egg Yolk (for brushing)

Directions:

  1. Heat Oil in a pan and add sliced Onions Saute the Onions on medium heat until they turn golden brown.
  2. Add Ginger Garlic Paste and fry until the raw smell disappears, mix in Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Pepper, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder, and Curry Leaves. Cook for a minute and then let the mixture cool.
  3. Take the ready-made Puff Pastry Sheets and cut them smaller than the size of the boiled egg halves.
  4. Place a portion of the cooled filling in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Put a half of a boiled egg on top of the filling.
  6. Apply water on all corners of the puff pastry square, fold the pastry over the filling and egg, sealing it well.
  7. Brush the top of each assembled puff with Egg Yolk.
  8. Preheat your air fryer at 200°C for 5 Minutes.
  9. Place the assembled egg puffs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
  10. Air fry the egg puffs at 200°C for about 15 minutes.
  11. Once the egg puffs are cooked to perfection, remove them from the air fryer.
  12. Serve the delicious Egg Puffs hot as a tasty snack or appetizer.
