Ingredients:
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Begin by cutting 2 large russet potatoes into ¼-inch thick fries.
- Boil the potato fries briefly to par-cook them. This step will help them become extra crispy when air-fried.
- Pat the par-boiled potato fries dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
- Sprinkle salt over the fries to your taste.
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for about 5 minutes.
- Once preheated, place the par-cooked and seasoned potato fries in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are in a single layer and not overcrowded.
- Air fry the fries at 180°C for approximately 14 minutes, be sure to shake the basket or toss the fries halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Check for doneness; the fries should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Once done, remove the fries from the air fryer and serve them hot.
- Enjoy your homemade air-fried French fries with your favourite dipping sauces!
