French Fries

Indulge in the magic of fluffy interiors, crispy exteriors and the ultimate comfort food satisfaction.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Begin by cutting 2 large russet potatoes into ¼-inch thick fries.
  2. Boil the potato fries briefly to par-cook them. This step will help them become extra crispy when air-fried.
  3. Pat the par-boiled potato fries dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  4. Sprinkle salt over the fries to your taste.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for about 5 minutes.
  6. Once preheated, place the par-cooked and seasoned potato fries in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are in a single layer and not overcrowded.
  7. Air fry the fries at 180°C for approximately 14 minutes, be sure to shake the basket or toss the fries halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
  8. Check for doneness; the fries should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  9. Once done, remove the fries from the air fryer and serve them hot.
  10. Enjoy your homemade air-fried French fries with your favourite dipping sauces!
