A Taste of Home: Share the Joy of Homemade Biscuits with Loved Ones.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 60 grams butter (room temperature)
  • 3-4 drops vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, powdered sugar, milk powder, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Mix well to ensure all the dry ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Add the room temperature butter to the dry ingredient mixture. Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, blend the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the vanilla essence and chocolate chips to the mixture. Mix well to evenly distribute the flavours and chocolate chips throughout the dough. Form the dough into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes to firm it up.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 5 minutes. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out to your desired thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Cut the dough into your desired biscuit shapes using cookie cutters or a sharp knife.
  6. Arrange the biscuits in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each biscuit to allow for even cooking.
  7. Air fry the biscuits at 180°C for 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the biscuits, so keep an eye on them.
  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the biscuits from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack.
  9. Serve the homemade air fried biscuits as a delightful snack or store them in an airtight container for later enjoyment.
