The vegetarian delight you can't resist – Palak Paneer Balls!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup chopped Palak (spinach)
- 1/2 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
- Chopped ginger and green chilli
- Salt
- Turmeric powder
- Red chilli powder
- Coriander powder
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 3-4 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
- Oil
- Water (as required for binding)
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped palak, grated paneer, chopped ginger and green chilli.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and coriander powder to the mixture. Adjust the spice levels according to your taste.
- Add rice flour and gram flour (besan) to the mixture and mix well. The flours will help in binding the ingredients together.
- Gradually add water to the mixture, a little at a time, and knead it into a dough-like consistency. The water should be added as required to bind the mixture properly.
- Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into round balls. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 5 minutes.
- Lightly brush or spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking. Place the Palak paneer balls in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are evenly spaced and not touching each other.
- Air fry the Palak paneer balls at 180°C for 10 minutes. Check the doneness by inserting a toothpick into a ball; if it comes out clean, they are cooked. If not, cook for an additional 10 minutes or until they are fully cooked and crispy.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the Palak paneer balls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Serve the air fried Palak paneer balls as a delicious appetizer or snack with chutney or sauce of your choice.
