Potato Stuffed Kulcha

Potato Stuffed Kulcha: A delicious reminder that simple ingredients can create a memorable meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp curd (yogurt)
  • Water as needed
  • 4-5 boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp raw mango powder (amchoor powder)
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 3 tbsp chopped green coriander
  • A small piece of ginger, grated

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, salt, oil, and curd.
  2. Gradually add water as needed and knead to form soft and smooth dough.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, finely chopped onion, green chilli, red chilli powder, coriander powder, raw mango powder, garam masala, chopped green coriander, and grated ginger.
  5. Mix everything well to create the stuffing mixture. Set it aside.
  6. Divide the dough into 2-3 equal-sized balls.
  7. Take one dough ball, roll it out slightly, and add a portion of the prepared stuffing in the center.
  8. Seal and close the edges of the dough to encase the stuffing, roll it gently into a thick kulcha.
  9. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C for 5 Minutes.
  10. Brush a little oil on both sides of each kulcha, place one kulcha in the preheated air fryer basket.
  11. Air fry the kulcha at 200°C for 12 minutes, flip or shake the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  12. Once the kulchas are done, remove them from the air fryer, Serve the air fried potato stuffed kulchas hot with yogurt, pickle, or any side of your choice.
