Shakkar Para

Festivals are a time for tradition, and Shakkar Para is the embodiment of cherished customs and sweet flavours.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 cup finely chopped Jaggery
- 1 cup Wheat flour
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 1 tsp Saunf (Fennel seeds)
- Pinch of Salt (optional)
Directions:
- In a pan, add 1/2 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
- Add 1 cup of finely chopped jaggery to the boiling water and mix. Let the mixture boil and cook until the jaggery dissolves completely.
- Allow this jaggery mixture to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of wheat flour, 1/4 cup of ghee, and 1 tsp of saunf (fennel seeds). You can add a pinch of salt if desired.
- Begin to combine the ingredients until the mixture starts to come together.
- Gradually add the prepared jaggery syrup in batches and knead to form a hard dough.
- Divide the dough into two parts.
- Roll each part gently, and then cut it into squares or diamond shapes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 5 Minutes.
- Place the cut Shakkar Para pieces in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 180°C for 12-15 minutes, or until they become golden and crisp.
- Once they are done, your delicious Shakkar Para is ready to enjoy!
- Feel free to store them in an airtight container once they have cooled down to keep them fresh and enjoy!
