In the world of sweets, Shankarpali shines like a timeless classic, a reminder of the rich culinary heritage of India.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup hot milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1/4 cup hot ghee
Directions:
- In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup of hot milk and 1/2 cup of sugar until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Gradually add 2 cups of all-purpose flour (Maida) to the milk-sugar mixture.
- Pour in 1/4 cup of hot ghee into the mixture.
- Knead the mixture into a smooth, firm dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for about 1 hour to allow it to firm up.
- After the dough has rested, take small portions of it and roll them into small balls.
- Flatten each ball with a rolling pin to create a small, thin, rectangular or diamond-shaped piece. You can also use a shankarpali cutter or knife to cut them into desired shapes.
- Preheat your Air fryer to 180°C for 5 Minutes.
- Place the shaped shankarpalis in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Air fry the shankarpalis at 180°C for approximately 10 minutes.
- Once done, remove the shankarpalis from the air fryer and let them cool.
- Your air fried shankarpalis are ready to be enjoyed !
