Strawberry Focaccia

Satisfy your sweet tooth without sacrificing the satisfaction of savory bread with this irresistible strawberry focaccia.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp Yeast (instant)
  • 2 tsp Powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup water (Luke warm)
  • 1.5 tbsp oil
  • Brown sugar for sprinkling
  • Strawberry slices (few)

Directions:

  1. Add lukewarm water to a mixing bowl along with sugar and yeast.
  2. Mix with a spoon and let stand, covered, for 8-10 minutes until the yeast begins to froth.
  3. Then take the flour in a mixing bowl and add the yeast mixture.
  4. Mix everything very well to make a soft and sticky dough.
  5. Then put the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and set aside for at least 1 hour so that the dough rises to twice its size.
  6. Now transfer the dough to a greased baking tin and use your fingers to spread and stretch the dough to fit the tin.
  7. Place the strawberry slices on the dough and sprinkle some brown sugar on top.
  8. Cover the tin, set aside, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a hot air fryer at 180°C for 20 minutes or until the focaccia is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the fryer and let cool.
  11. Cut into squares and serve!
