Vegetable tots

Veggie-packed delight: Air fried Vegetable Tots, the crispy way to sneak in your daily greens!
Ingredients:
- Boiled Potato, mashed
- Boiled Carrot, grated
- Boiled Green Peas, roughly mashed
- Onion, finely chopped
- Red Chilli Flakes
- Oregano
- Garlic Powder
- Cajun Spice (or any preferred seasoning)
- Salt, to taste
- Bread Crumbs
- Cheese, grated (optional, but recommended for extra flavour)
- Oil (for brushing or spraying)
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed boiled potatoes, grated boiled carrots, roughly mashed boiled green peas, finely chopped onion, red chilli flakes, oregano, garlic Powder, cajun Spice, and salt to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients well until they are evenly combined. The mixture should be thick enough to hold its shape.
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C for a 5 minutes.
- Take a small portion of the vegetable mixture and shape it into a tot (small cylindrical or oval shape). Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
- Roll each tot in bread crumbs to coat it evenly. The bread crumbs will give the tots a crispy texture.
- Optional: For an extra cheesy flavor, you can stuff each tot with a small amount of grated cheese before rolling it in bread crumbs.
- Lightly brush or spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the vegetable tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch each other.
- Air fry at 200°C for about 25 minutes, the vegetable tots turn golden brown and crispy. Flip or shake the basket halfway through the cooking time for even cooking.
- Once done, carefully remove the vegetable tots from the air fryer and serve them hot.
